I’ve got something weird going on with my ability to eat, so I’m taking a sick day. As a result, I’m theming (is that a word) the post around things that you can do when you’re having a sick day or have low energy. Enjoy. Enjoy? Yes. Enjoy!
A sick day is a good day to reflect on victories:
I found this climate change wins document on Bluesky and of course I forgot to write down who shared it and the document is anonymous. But this document lists something we’re not seeing enough right now: victories. Focused on climate change, it lists some wins we can all celebrate and perhaps attempt to build on.
Keeping with the sick day theme, time to make a plan:

I’ve already posted about One Million Experiments (and encourage you to wander around the site finding experiments to assist). However, today I’m focusing on this issue of their zine, which walks you through making a resistance and activism plan. If you’re stuck, start here. It’s something you can fiddle with and return to, perfect for sick days and other low energy days.
Let’s reduce your overwhelm this sick day:
Over on Organizing my Thoughts by Kelly Hayes, Today, I’m linking to Managing Overwhelm Amid Trump Chaos. When you need that extra pick-me-up on a low energy day, start here. Kelly has a different take on some similar thoughts on the matter I’ve had here.
Finally, sick days are good for a bit of self-education:
Federal government employees and former employees have built a website that tells the story of what they do and why it’s important. We are the builders provides great information to arm yourself with when battling ignorance.
Time to get on with my sick day:
First, I’ll create a little graphic for this post, then I’ll kerthunk onto the couch or bed. Have as good a day as you can.
Thank you.
